Plein Air at the Lost Coast - 2015

'En plein air' is a French expression which means "in the open air", and is used to describe the act of painting outdoors. The inaugural event's purpose is to provide funding for art and recreational facilities in the Shelter Cove Community.

Following the great success of the first ever Plein Air event in Shelter Cove, CA last year, this highly anticipated event is returning back to the Loast Coast again this year, with even more fun events planned for the art enthusiast of any level.

This year's Plein Air event promises to be bigger and better, offering $5,500 in prize money and featuring over 45 artists from a variety of locations. The 2015 Featured Artists are:

  • Sterling Hoffmann
  • Susan Fox
  • Monika Piper Johnson
  • Jake Gaedtke

Please visit the Plein Air website HERE to see a full schedule of events, and join us here at the Benbow Historic Inn, as we will be hosting the event's  welcome registration and first 'quick draw', as well as closing out the event with an additional 'quick draw' event.
