The Humboldt Redwoods Marathon returns for yet another year on October 18th, 2015. This famous run is a Boston Marathon Qualifier and attracts avid runners from all over the world just to experience the most scenic marathon course in all of California!
The Humboldt Redwoods State Park, California's largest redwood state park, is located about 200 miles north of San Francisco and 40 miles south of Eureka. The marathon and half marathon start together at the Dyerville Bridge, which is on the famous Avenue of the Giants near the majestic Founders Grove in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The 5K starts in the same location just 15 minutes after the marathon and half marathon. All courses are fast, paved and shaded. All courses are USAT&F certified. The Half Marathon is a USAT&F Pacific Association championship in all divisions.
Benbow Historic Inn is located at the Humboldt County line, 30 miles south of the marathon starting point. We offer our runner guests a complimentary continental breakfast, packed with protein before the big run begins. We also make showers available to guests who have checked out after the run, so that they may feel refreshed after the long journey.
