Paco Martin first moved to Humboldt County in 1970 has been performing in clubs up and down the California coast and in international venues from Paris to the Canary Islands.
His musical career started as a soloist at his local Catholic Church. At 18, he traveled to Granada, Spain and studied medicine for six years. While studying In the south of Spain, he played professionaly in a local pub for fellow students
Paco burst onto the American music scene with his premier album, "Paco at El Set." He spent the pinnacle of his career in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, playing at El Set for 7 months out of the year between 1980 - 1995. Paco recalls this as the 'Glory Days', in which his career blossomed.
With the onset of a large surge in the Latin music scene in the U.S. and abroad, Paco's multi-lingual love longs and ballads are a favorite for guests at Benbow Historic Inn.
Paco will play throughout our Summer Music Series Under the Stars on the Inn's outdoor terrace and will close the series on Friday, September 25th.Continuing his yearly tradition, Paco will be joined with his personal friend and bass player Chris Brannan, pictured above on the left.
Outdoor dining service begins at 5:00. There is never a cover charge to enjoy the music, food, wine and romance under the stars in Benbow.
