Only the best locally grown produce (some from our hotel gardens), freshest seafood and local meats are brought to our kitchen.
Rising star Executive Chef Dustin Vallance brings his passion for food and wine creating several delightful pairings that were featured in our Winemaker Dinner Series and our Humboldt Restaurant Week special. Chef Vallance's sure hands guide our culinary team as they prepare each day's selections. For our younger diners, a special kid's menu is available. We now also offer a special Vegan Menu.
We want our guests to be comfortable.
Dinner dress is resort casual. Slacks and Sport Coats are not required. Polo shirts, dress shorts, Dockers and jeans are also perfectly acceptable in our dining room. Baseball hats should be limited to our lounge.
Terrace dining will open in late spring - weather permitting. Paco Martin opens our Summer Music Series under the stars in mid June. Performances are Tuesday - Friday evenings from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Wines From Northern California And Beyond
At Benbow Historic Inn we welcome our guests, whether from our beautiful North Coast or the other side of the world, with a wine list emphasizing food-friendly selections to enhance our seasonal cuisine. We feature local Humboldt County and West Coast wines, while maintaining a foundation of Old World terroir driven classics and international selections.
With over 450 selections, we encourage you to open your palate to exciting new and diverse wines, from those made from ancient grapes rediscovered in Greece or experimental techniques made with yeasts native to California.
We update our wine list weekly and invite you to view the list prior to your visit in order to create a most memorable dining experience embracing a gift of our time – the Golden Age of Wine.
We also offer a large selection of wines by the glass and will waive each corkage fee of $25 with the purchase of a bottle from our cellar.
